[Minneapolis, MN – September 17, 2025] – Carlson Caspers attorneys Derek Vandenburgh, Nate Louwagie, Aaron Pederson, Hannah Mosby O’Brien, and Will Ely represented Oxygenator Water Technologies (OWT) in a patent infringement lawsuit against Tennant Company (Tennant) in which OWT accused Tennant of infringing three US patents. A jury trial in November 2024 resulted in a perfect verdict for OWT – the jury found for OWT on all issues.
The jury found infringement on all counts, found the infringement willful, and entered monetary damages of the full amount requested by OWT, just under $10 million. Damages were later enhanced, resulting in a final judgment of just over $20 million dollars including the enhancement and interest. Carlson Caspers represented OWT throughout all phases of lawsuit, including trial, and successfully defended against an Inter Partes Review (IPR) proceeding on one of the patents.
